My love of fashion began as a little girl when I used to go into my Mom's closet and play dress-up with her clothes, shoes, and hats. I loved playing with all of her beautiful clothes, and especially loved wearing her high heels! I used to play Model using the hallway as my catwalk.

I started drawing in Kindergarten. Looking back at my drawings, they were pretty advanced for my age. In high school I won a 1st place and a 2nd place ribbon in an Art Show. The combination of winning the ribbons and the encouragement of my Art teacher convinced me to take Art seriously .I moved on to University where Art was my minor and I majored in Fashion Design.

As I learned more about Draping, Pattern Making, and the History of Fashion, a great appreciation for Vintage was born. I began shopping almost exclusively at Thrift Shops. Oh, the little pieces of heaven that people donated! The best part was that no one was ever dressed in the same outfit as me. I was very unique. I enjoyed making a statement with fashion. This eventually lead into the idea to buy vintage men's pants and turn them into skirts.

I worked for a time in a Bridal Shop and that is where I learned to work with clients one on one. It brought me joy to make my clients happy with the alterations or custom made work I did for them. This sparked my interest in doing custom order work.

As my friends began to have children I got the idea to make them a special Keepsake Pillow. I asked the Mom for the theme or the colors they were using to decorate the bedroom. I added the scent of Lavender to the pillow form because the scent is relaxing and comforting to little noses. Everybody loves these pillows!

I hope you enjoy my creative ideas! I'm looking forward to sending something I've made to you!
